ABOUT US
League of Youth Voluntary Service (LYVS) is a non-profit, non-governmental public organisation, based in Minsk, Belarus.
LYVS was founded on February 16, 1994 and joined the Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations in 1996.
We are working to increase the access of young people to the information about the participation opportunities in the field
of non-formal education and volunteering, to develop their civil and social competencies.
Our central objective is to assist young people in the implementation of their ideas on the basis of voluntary service.
Our main activities: international workcamps, educational programme for camp leaders “Respublika”, Youth in
Action-Erasmus+ (trainings, seminars, PBAs, study visits, youth exchanges, sending and hosting EVS), creative laboratory
“Clever” (DIY, photography workshops, handcrafts masterclasses), intercultural learning (international evenings, movie
nights, free language courses), etc.
3 main points to which volunteers should be prepared for:
1. Practically all foreigners need visa to enter Belarus. Here you can find the Diplomatic Representation of the Republic of
Belarus in your country (http://belembassy.org/index_eng.html). We provide the volunteers with the invitation letter and will
be happy to give advice or any information about how and where to apply for visa.
2. All the foreign citizens have to be insured while staying in Belarus.
Unfortunately, we don’t provide insurance. The volunteers will have to obtain the insurance on their own before applying for
visa.
3. All foreign citizens who stay in Belarus for more than 5 working days should be registered in the local migration office.
This procedure will be done by the camp leaders.
