Why did you choose this workcamp?
The part about ecological protection in this workcamp was the main reason that I chose this workcamp.
Is this your first workcamp?
Did you have any problems with the application process?
Not at all.
Are the information sheet and guidebook helpful? Are the aims of the project and direction to the
workcamp clearly described for you to understand? If not, what suggestion(s) do you have?
Yes,they were helpful, but some information was different from the situation of the camp.
What are your hopes and expectation at the beginning of the workcamp?
To meet some new friends from different cultural background.
To know more about Hongkong.
To enjoy the peaceful view of nature.
Were the orientation, briefing, or evaluation sessions helpful?
What was the best part(s) of the workcamp?
The cummunication with the other volunteers.
Were your expectations met? If yes, how? If no, why?
Everything was much better than I can expect.
Everyone in the workcamp were friendly and enthusiasm, there were always so much fun with them. I am glad
that I also enhance my knowledge about wetland and knew more about Long vally from this camp.
What improvement can be made for this workcamp?
The distance from living quarters to work is kind of long.
Do you have any suggestions for future volunteers?
Hope that we can share more.
Was there any conflict/problems (ex. cultural differences) during the workcamp? If so, how was it resolved?
Because of the limitation of cooking condition, Cooking lunch by ourselves would be difficult and would take us
a long time more than we have ,so after the first try ,we had our lunch at the store nearby at the rest of the days.
Each project is meant to have an aim and for the volunteers to learn/reflect upon. Was the aim clear in your work? What did you learn?
Yes. I do understand how hard the job is to be a farmer, we should show more respect to farmer, no more waste. And it promote my understanding of environment protection.
Any additional comments?
It was a wonderful experience. Thankyou for offering such a good chance.
